The NCS8510 is a USB Type-C bi-directional linear redriver supporting data rates up to 10 Gbps. This multi_protocal linear redriver is capable of supporting USB type-C with USB 3.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 as alternate mode. It can also be configured to support custom USB Type-C alternate modes. The NCS8510 provides several levels of receive equalization to compensate for cable and board trace loss due to inter-symbol interference (ISI) when USB 3.1 Gen 1/Gen 2 or DisplayPort (or other Alt modes) signals travel across a PCB or cable. This device operates at a single 3.3V power supply and implements advanced power management by monitoring USB power states and snooping DP link training. All four lanes of the device are reversible and each lane has a receiver equalizer with selectable gain settings.
